The Golf Solitaire playbook

Work at your own pace. Remove all 35 tableau cards. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Begin with the objective. Take an exposed bottom card one rank above or below the waste top, allowing ace–king wrapping. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Seven columns of five, one stock pass. Free solo play, no wagering.

An idea for your next attempt

Keep the active rule in mind. Tap exposed cards that satisfy the removal rule shown above. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Choosing and moving on screen

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Look at the complete hand before deciding.

Work through an example

Waste queen accepts jack or king. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Avoid this misunderstanding

Before making a move, check the cards in view. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Use another round to revisit a decision.
